ActUp Theater is hiring a Choreography Intern for our upcoming Spring 2026 production of Matilda. The Choreography Intern will support the Choreography Team in the creation, teaching, and execution of dynamic routines. This role will assist in rehearsals, support choreography development, and help teach age-appropriate movement, dance skills, improvisation, and interdisciplinary projects to students ages 8 and up. Interns will work alongside experienced choreographers to gain real-world production experience while contributing to an inspiring, inclusive, and community-centered artistic process.
Choreography Intern, Matilda
ActUp Theater is hiring Choreographers for our upcoming Spring 2026 production, Matilda. This role will play a central role in management and supporting the work of ActUp Theater. The choreography team will be responsible for choreographing and teaching a dynamic routines, ensuring challenging choreography for select dance performances from the Matilda soundtrack, and teaching creative age-appropriate movement, dance skills, student self-directed improvisation and composition and interdisciplinary inquiry projects.
Choreography Team, Matilda
ActUp Theater is hiring a Light Technician to play a central role in and support the work of ActUp Theater’s 2026 production, Matilda. The Light Technician will be responsible for the setup, maintenance, and teardown of all visual equipment, including microphones, speakers, cables, video cameras, etc. This role will also involve managing and controlling lighting for live productions. Key duties include collaborating closely with the Director and Set Designer to ensure seamless integration of lighting elements, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
Light Technician, Matilda
ActUp Theater is hiring a Production Manager to play a central role in the management of the production of Matilda, led by ActUp Theater. The Production Manager will be responsible for the planning, outreach, and day-to-day management of the production. Duties include leading program staff and delegating tasks to achieve the goals of the production and ensuring the safety of the production participants. Additional duties include monitoring production budgets, managing communication between the cast, parents, and staff, and overseeing outreach duties to engage with the local community! This exciting position will be an asset to ActUp Theater!
Production Manager, Matilda
ActUp Theater is hiring a Sound Technician Intern to support the audio and technical needs of ActUp Theater’s 2026 production, Matilda. The Sound Technician Intern will assist with the setup, maintenance, and teardown of all audio equipment, including microphones, speakers, cables, sound boards, and mixing consoles. Interns will work closely with the Director, Set Designer, and Sound Team to ensure smooth integration of sound elements throughout the production.

ActUp Theater is hiring a Sound Technician to play a central role in and support the work of ActUp Theater’s 2026 production, Matilda. The Sound Technician will be responsible for the setup, maintenance, and teardown of all audio equipment, including microphones, speakers, cables, sound and mixing boards, etc. Key duties include collaborating closely with the Director and Set Designer to ensure seamless integration of sound elements, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, and ensuring optimal performance of all media systems throughout the production.
Sound Technician, Matilda
ActUp Theater is a Stage Hand to play a central role in management and supporting the work of ActUp Theater’s production of Matilda. The Stage Hand will be responsible for supporting the flow of scenes involved in successfully running a production; from tech week through post-show. Duties include assisting stage staff and delegating tasks to achieve the goals of the production and ensure the safety of the production participants. Additional duties include adhering to the rehearsal schedule, maintaining correspondence with all stage employees to ensure props, lighting, wardrobe, and all other aspects of the production are running accordingly, corresponding with the Production Manager for additional duties.
